Both workshops are designed to accommodate Beginner & Improver levels of tango dancer, so as to benefit all, from the novice to the experienced dancer, incorporating the Tango essentials:
Connection - key word in tango which is basically an improvised dance.
Embrace - body language that makes bodies float magically together on the dance floor.
Absolute beginners and BEGINNERS
2.00pm to 3.30pm -
Aim to perfect the basic elements of individual technique which are a necessary introduction to the technique in couples.
Working on individual technique - posture, position of the feet, walk and change of weight, balance and pivots - on the technique of a couple, including mechanisms of the embrace, flexibility and movements within closed embrace, connection in the change of weight, harmonious walk, musicality and improvisation.
Beginners to IMPROVERS
4.00pm to 6.00pm -
Focus on musicality and fundamental sequences for the improvisation: elegant promenades (crossed system, change of direction), salidas (simple, crossed system, with decorations and ochos).
